Installing HPLIP should have actually installed this already, so this will probably say it is already installed, but I put it here for thoroughness. ^ These are two HP utilities needed for printing. ^ This command installs pyqt5 which HP utilities use for GUI functionality. Run these commands in a terminal: sudo apt-get install python3-pyqt5

I did not use SSH, but rather directly connected a monitor, keyboard and mouse. I installed the OS using this installation guide. Utilities on Linux so I ultimately used the " Raspbian Buster with desktop" OS. I had tried several attempts at getting this to work without GUI support, but HP has some GUI I connected the printer to the USB port and connected it to my router via ethernet.
